In 2007 he finished two years of Post-doctoral fellowship in Nephrology and Hemodialysis at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California - Davis, Dept. of Medicine and Epidemiology.

On 2009 he established the hemodialysis unit at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine.

Since 2010 Dr Segev is the head of the Internal Medicine department, Koret school of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Dr Gilad Segev is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals since 2005.

Graduated from The Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in 2000.

He then proceeded to a one year Rotating Internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery and right after that he started (2002) his Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine in Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
